Straub Dance Center has some of the finest and most qualified dance instructors in central Ohio. While many other studios have fine instructors, we differentiate ourselves through our instructors love for teaching and dedication to proper technique.
Our faculty and staff include:
Suzy Straub: teaches tap, ballet and jazz
Christy Lott Wiegand: teaches tap, jazz and ballet and hip hop
Barbie Jo Bednarczuk: former Straub student; song and dance, tap, baby dance, pre-dance and creative dance
Heather Benedict: former four-year varsity cheerleader for Ohio State and Straub student; teaches tap, ballet and jazz
George Boft: formerly with the Bolshoi Ballet and teacher at Ballet Met; teaches ballet
Brittany Brose : former Straub student; teaches tap, baby dance, pre-dance and creative dance
Ashley Deck: current senior dance student; teaches pre-dance and pre-jazz
Melynda Lott: former professional dancer and life-long teacher; teaches jazz and ballet
Kelsie Luthy: current senior dance student; teaches pre-ballet
Jackie McClave: former professional ballerina; teaches ballet
Alexa Slomsky: current senior dance student; teaches jazz
Lynn Slomsky: early dance specialist; teaches baby-dance, pre-dance, creative dance, tap, jazz and hip hop
